Engage with Ayurveda… a day for your dosha.
Dosha’s, our personal body mind type, are the guardians of our True essence. They give us information and they receive information, they help us track the root cause of our imbalance. We can find the source of our stress, and if that is difficult we can soothe the doshas according to what is presenting on the day.
You will receive on this Clarenbridge, Galway workshops Ayurveda day for your dosha:
A questionnaire to fill out on your present imbalance, and your natal constitution. (It take about ten to fifteen minutes, so please do not come late. However if you do arrive late…it is a sign of high Vata. 🙂
You will receive information that you can review at home.
We will look at how to balance all three dosha’s, using the tools of Yoga and Ayurveda:
The Yoga sutra’s and the eight limbs of Yoga offer us the deep wisdom of the past that is valuable in our present and future.
Yoga asana or postures of Yoga with adaptations for beginners and Dosha’s. Postures do not have to be intricate or excessively difficult, but they should offer the body stress relief (toxin removal), inner focus for the mind, and balanced energetic promotion.
Yoga breathing practices specific to your Dosha, as breath practices are the fast track route to balance, healing and health. If you want to change your life, breathe better, and then when you have practiced remembering to breathe better, then breathe for your Dosha.
Yoga Mudra’s will be used as an adjunct to the work of the day. Mudra’s are like mini Yoga. Absolutely powerful medicine.
Aromatherapy – if you have any seed or nut allergy please let Kelly know, as she will be bringing oils to be shared by the group, specific to each dosha.
There will be a Yoga nidra or relaxation plua a few meditations interspersed throughout the day.
Meditation is essential to help bring out our own sense of self, our sense of our dosha and our sense of community and connection to all three.
Lunch, it is your own affair, but during this break time, there will be a few Ayurveda cookbooks to browse and take pics from and there will recipes to take home. Also, Kelly Marie will be available during this break to take your pulse and check your tongue for deeper insight to your dosha balance.
Young Adults are welcome.
