About this Absolute beginners Yoga workshop: This is a two hour dip into Yoga, and it is one way to find out for yourself what all the ‘Yoga’ hype is about.
Kelly Marie is your guide, and I will take you through all the basic postures and breathing skills that the majority of Yoga classes use. In this Absolute beginners Yoga workshop you will have my personal undivided attention, to help you with Yoga postures and the tools of stress relief and relaxation.
If you are already in a Yoga practice, this workshop is still a valuable way to receive guidance and develop a little bit more of your own practice.
I do believe that we are all beginners when we walk onto our Yoga mats, every time we start again with what we know, and face the bits we still dont understand.
With flexibility being a big star of the physical side of Yoga, we go through the basics of how to ensure you are safe and comfortable in all postures. There are many different modifications to make all postures accessible to any body and everybody.
Yoga has the bonus of developing great muscle tone, which helps us feel better and stronger and Yoga can promote weight loss (due to some of the postures enabling better digestion). Yoga is an all around whole body and mind health and wellness practice.
Of course, Yoga is not only a physical practice to move and stretch the body and all its parts. It definitely can create deep flexibility if practiced with consistency and the correct frame of mind. But Yoga also has a strong foundation in freeing the mind with focus.
There are many ways Yoga creates dynamic mindful focus and one is certainly the continuous development of better breathing. The effect or side-effect of focus in Yoga is that we can learn life lasting skills that decrease anxiety, fear, high blood pressure, insomnia, digestive imbalances and much more.
There are many types of Yoga classes all over the place…I will talk about those on another post, that is a big subject, but really, what Yoga should you do? The one that makes you feel better, you leave the class feeling balanced and content is the best monitor.
There are many Yoga teachers out there, and it is good to try new teachers. You will, at some stage, find the one that gives you what you need at this time in your life.
And most assuredly, Absolute Beginners Yoga should be enjoyable, not something to get done, but a practice in making time for you.
I look forward to seeing you soon. Book your place for some time for you, with Kelly Marie @ 086 1778369
